Terms of Service

Last updated: May 8, 2026

These terms govern your use of Loggie — the journaling app and the optional sync relay at loggie.xyz — both operated by Obrevaro, LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. We've kept the language plain; where there's a tradeoff between brevity and accuracy, we've leaned toward accuracy.

1. The service

Loggie is an offline-first app for keeping personal logs — sleep records, diaper changes, car maintenance, anything you'd otherwise track in a notebook or spreadsheet. The app stores your data locally on your device.

You can optionally enable sync. Sync uses an end-to-end encrypted relay hosted at loggie.xyz to copy your encrypted data between your authorized devices and to anyone you've explicitly invited to your vault.

2. Cost

Loggie is currently offered free of charge. We may introduce paid plans (e.g., for additional sync storage) in the future. If we do, we will give you advance notice and you will be able to keep using the app offline at no cost regardless.

3. No accounts

Loggie does not have user accounts. You don't sign up, log in, or give us your email. Your identity to the relay is just a vault ID (a random UUID) and your device's public key. This means:

4. Your data is yours

You retain all rights to the content you create in Loggie. We do not own, license, or otherwise claim rights to your entries, photos, or notes. We cannot read them. We do not use them to train models. We do not sell or share them.

You are responsible for what you choose to log. If you record information about other people (e.g., a partner, a child, a coworker), you are responsible for any consents required in your jurisdiction.

5. You are responsible for your keys

Loggie's privacy guarantees come from end-to-end encryption. Your data is encrypted with a vault key that lives only on your authorized devices. This design has consequences you need to understand:

Treat the app like an encrypted notebook: protect the device that holds it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Loggie or the sync relay to:

We reserve the right to block IP addresses or vault IDs that abuse the service. Because the data is encrypted, blocking a vault ID is the strongest action we can take — we cannot moderate content.

7. Service availability

We operate the relay on a best-effort basis. The relay may be unavailable due to maintenance, hosting issues, or causes outside our control. The app is designed to work fully offline, so a relay outage means your data stays on your device and queues to sync when the relay returns.

We do not currently offer a service-level agreement (SLA), uptime guarantee, or paid support. Critical operational issues are addressed as promptly as we are able.

8. Warranties & liability

Loggie is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — or for any loss of data, profits, or use — arising out of or related to your use of Loggie, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these terms or your use of Loggie will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages. If you live in such a jurisdiction, some of the above may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights.

9. Changes to the service and these terms

We may update the app, the relay, and these terms over time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced inside the app and on the loggie.xyz homepage. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using Loggie at any time by uninstalling the app or by leaving your vault. We may suspend or terminate access to the relay for an IP address or vault ID that violates these terms or that is causing operational problems for the service. Termination of the relay does not affect your local copy of the data on your device.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, where Obrevaro, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida. Where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply, they continue to apply notwithstanding this clause.
